Well, Shit. That was a Motherfucker of a… month.
Finally, I have Internet at my new place. I don’t even know where to begin.
The trip… Well, here is my usual vacation snapshots gallery. It’s pretty much all Massachussets. I’ll try to get ahold of more photos at a later date.

Lots of more subjects in the rest of the post…
While on the trip, I got an email from my room mate saying that by majority vote, we had agreed to be out by the fifteenth in order to get moving assistance from the landlord. This meant I was able to start looking at places on Tuesday the same week I needed to be moved by Saturday. Fun.
I got a furnished apartment because I couldn’t get one unfurnished with enough room in a location I considered acceptable on that time frame. The furniture is all horrible crap, and I am making arrangements to have it hauled off. It’s also stuff I don’t need. I just don’t need a sofa. I’ll have more space soon, but I’ll need to get myself a kitchen table. For some reason, the furnished apartment didn’t come with a kicthen table. I don’t know why they consider it fully furnished if there is no place to eat.
The 48 hour film festival.

I’ve been going slightly crazy trying to assemble a cast. Why the hell is this proving so difficult?
So, once I get the crap furniture out of my way, I can finish moving in. Then, I’ll need to finish setting up my router running openWRT http://openwrt.org/ so I can do web based wireless authentication on the router. I basically want nocatauth all on the router. I think I may have nough room to manage it. Then, I can get ready for the crazy film making on August 3rd-5th, because my place will probably be VFX central because nobody else on the team has any visual effects experience whatsoever. Also, I’m 50% of the actors. And, we don’t have an editor. And, the team considers editing “just” a technical skill of assembling clips in exactly the way the editor is told, and is generally dismissive of the craft of editing, which will presumably result in excellent, brilliant editors beating down our doors to join the team.
We don’t have a costume person, either. We can live without one, but it’d sure be nice to have.
Loved the “mountain man” photo of you by the pond and some of those amazing nature photos! Good luck with the film festival.
